All 181 primary, nursery and Additional Support Needs schools in north Lanarkshire now have fibre connections following a contract delivered by Commsworld more than 20 times the previous capacity, and secondary school connections are five times faster than before.
Boldyn Networks has built a new fibre network to improve 21 CCTV cameras across Sutton, allowing the footage to be accepted as evidence in court.
The project was funded by the Greater London Authority, via TfL, following a successful bid as part of the Government’s ‘Getting Building Fund’.
The network, which forms a part of the Connected London programme, will provide the foundation for smart city applications.
Billy D’Arcy, CEO of UK & Ireland at Boldyn Networks, said: “Reliable digital infrastructure is the foundation of innovation, and working with the London Borough of Sutton to boost connectivity will help to improve safety and enhance local services for residents and businesses.”
