More than 11,000 homes and businesses in Braintree can now access Virgin Media’s gigabit broadband services for the first time.

Zzoomm is making a £9.3m investment into the digital infrastructure of Bolton upon Dearne and Thurnscoe, South Yorkshire.
The altnet will make fibre available to around 12,000 properties across the neighbouring villages.
CEO Matthew Hare said: “We are helping drive innovation through access to our gigafast full fibre network to homes and businesses in Bolton upon Dearne and Thurscoe.
“We believe that everyone should have access to reliable, future ready broadband and are expanding our locations across Yorkshire.”
Zzoomm’s infrastructure division boasts a 350-strong in-house civils team that runs five regional hubs and two training centres that allow it to recruit from local communities and develop local talent.
