Virgin Media extends to 11,000 homes in Braintree

More than 11,000 homes and businesses in Braintree can now access Virgin Media’s gigabit broadband services for the first time.

The network has been built on behalf of nexfibre, which is investing £4.5bn to deliver high speed fibre to the home connections to five million homes across the UK by 2026. nexfibre recently announced it has already reached a total of one million premises passed and ready for service.

Rajiv Datta, CEO at nexfibre said: “We have been able to facilitate access to futureproof hyper-fast fibre to more than 11,000 premises in Braintree, thanks to our multi-million pound in investment.

“We continue on our mission to build and expand our network in suburban and semi-rural areas, and play our part in helping to close the digital divide and boost the UK economy.”
