MS3 Networks has connected the 20,000th customer to its full fibre network in Hull and the wider Humber region earlier in September, a milestone that signals a shift in the region’s broadband landscape and brings more choice of providers to the area, a story on local news site Hull This Is reported recently.
MS3 was established to challenge the broadband monopoly, which has been dominated by telco KCOM for many years, and bring choice to the region by deploying new full fibre infrastructure.
Its wholesale model means residents and businesses can choose between several different internet providers for the first time.
Tony Jopling, Chief Operating Officer at MS3 Networks said: “Our investment in the rollout of our full fibre network across Hull and beyond was a direct result of the long-standing monopoly in the region.
“We’ve always known market competition would benefit residents by improving service quality and driving down prices, and the news of the 20,000th connection to our network is a clear sign that’s been the case.
“We’re have saved local people millions of pounds in recent years by making it possible for them to switch to a choice of broadband providers offering packages on an ultra-fast, reliable network.”
