Full Fibre

A nationwide survey of UK farmers commissioned by CityFibre has revealed that poor internet connectivity threatens to stifle growth and productivity on Britain’s farms, with unreliable broadband impeding the adoption of new technology such as AI and real-time monitoring.

Openreach has increased its full fibre footprint by one million premises over two months since the end of February 2025 – an increase that shows the company has connected nearly 55% of UK premises.

According to Openreach, red tape is preventing upgrades to apartment buildings and flats, potentially leaving 600,000 homes and businesses across London without access to faster broadband technology for many years.

Elevate has been awarded a contract to build a hyperfast full fibre network for St Helens Borough Council, as part of the council’s Digital Infrastructure Programme to increase internet speeds and reliability for residents and businesses in the Merseyside town.
