Ashford Borough Council’s latest corporate plan affirms its commitment to supporting the local fibre rollout by collaborating with fibre providers.

VolkerHighways has rebranded its telecoms division to VolkerTelecoms and will simplify and strengthen the business as it aids in the nationwide fibre rollout.
VolkerTelecoms provides a solution spanning from exchange to property boundaries, including all civils and fibre works. The team is using a hybrid installation solution which includes building both new underground trench duct networks and overhead infrastructure, as well as using existing infrastructure.
Since the first project went live in February 2020, 1,105,172 metres of trench has been excavated and reinstated and 187,261 homes have been passed across the projects.
