CityFibre is to boost its roll out by up to 300,000 premises through the acquisition of fibre network operator Lit Fibre from Newlight Partners.
Instalcom, a division of OCU, has acquired Opals UK and Opals Services to leverage their fibre expertise and expand its telecoms offering in the south and east of England.
Peterborough-based Opals provides telecommunications infrastructure services across all disciplines of digital communications networks.
“The acquisition of Opals represents another significant step in our ambition to become a leader in full fibre network delivery and expands our presence into the East Midlands and east of England,” said Vince Bowler, MD of Instalcom.
“This will allow us to expand our capacity for our customers and crucially accelerate the deployment of fibre in our surrounding areas,” added Sam Hodge, MD and Founder of Opals.
